owned estate of 6.3 hectares in the Nahe Valley near the Rheingau region of Germany - home of world-famous Riesling. Sebastian Schafer is the estate’s fourth generation winemaker and a rising star on the German wine scene. Sebastian is passionate about making wines which reflect their terroir and variety. Meticulous care is put into managing the vineyards to ensure the best quality fruit is produced. |

2006 Joh. Bapt. SCHAFER Classic Riesling
This is a crisp zingy Riesling which is wonderfully refreshing in Singapore’s climate. White peach aromas lead to crisp fruit flavours of green apples and ripe tangerines. With nice minerality and a persistent dry finish, this wine
will brighten the flavour of seafood and delicate steamed or poached dishes. This Riesling is drinking well now, displaying fruity freshness, but it will develop nicely over the next four years.
