Jovis Wines imports a range of wines directly from boutique producers in the famous Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Italy. Our labels include:

Tuscany is best known for its indigenous grape variety, Sangiovese, which produces Chianti and Supertuscan wines. Wines from Sangiovese are typically of medium body, with fresh acidity and a strong tannic backbone, making them ideal for rich and savoury Asian dishes. The palate typically shows dark fruit flavours of cherries and plums, with aromas of cherries, violets
and hints of earthiness.
While Sangiovese represents the soul of Tuscany, other wine varieties, such as Merlot and Cabernet, have been planted with increasing success. These imported varieties are often blended with Sangiovese to produce superb Supertuscan wines.
It seems that any grape you grow in this region seems to catch
a certain Tuscan flavour – hard to define but unmistakable nonetheless! |
