Jovis Wines is a family company based in Singapore that was conceived over a long lunch in Tuscany.

As we sat drinking beautiful wine in the warm sunshine of the vineyard, we realized that Italian wines are ideal for Singapore’s climate and lifestyle. Italy and Singapore share a passion (some would say obsession!) for food. Italians have always understood
the need for wine to accentuate food, rather than overwhelm it.
And Italian wines, with their structure, acidity and earthiness,
form exciting partnerships with many Asian cuisines!

Just like a great wine, we knew our company had to reflect its terroir. So we named it Jovis Wines in honor of Tuscany’s quintessential grape variety, Sangiovese. The word sangiovese
is derived from the Latin sanguis Jovis, meaning the 'blood of Jove' (the Roman god Jupiter).

Our company’s brandmark is derived from Jupiter’s symbol, which represents human life being uplifted by earthly matter through an understanding of universal law: a perfect analogy for the art of making and enjoying wine!
